EN50155 is noodzakelijk om computer hardware te mogen gebruiken in treinen. De Nuvo-5100VTX beschikt over dit certificaat. De unit is uitgerust met de 6de generatie Intel CPU-technologie en kan hierdoor voor diverse applicaties worden ingezet. Deze industriële embedded computer beschikt o.a. over 4x 802.3at PoE+ ethernet poorten die 25Wat leveren. Uiteraard zijn dit M12 x-coded connectoren die garanderen dat extreme robuuste omgevingen met veel trillingen en vibraties geen probleem zijn. Twee extra GB-ethernet poorten met RJ-45 aansluiting zorgen voor extra datacommunicatie. Indien 3g/4g wifi nodig is dan dit worden toegevoegd via de 4 interne mini-PCIe sockets. CAN 2 opslagschijven voor RAID, power ignition control en isolated DIO maken de unit compleet en breed inzetbaar.
